When the PPEI Ez Lynk came out for the LML Duramax we all waited and wondered when we would be getting Transmission tuning to go with it now that wait is over!

What is Transmission Tuning?

Transmission Tuning is exactly what it sounds like, it is tuning that is made to control the transmission to match the tuning you odds are already have in the ECM that is producing more power and allowing you to work the truck harder while seeing nothing but benefits. This was something that is not new but it is new to the market for the Ez Lynk for the Duramax engines. This was always a issue when people tuned with this platform and when adding horsepower it is always recommended to have tuning to match the transmission.

Why do I need Transmission Tuning?

Transmission Tuning is always recommended because when adding horse power you need to make sure that the transmission can not only hang with the power added but make sure that the shifting is ideal for what the new setup is like. This means making sure that you stay within the power ranges when doing high horse power tunes or making sure you hold gears for towing. We need to make sure that they always match and work off each other. This is why it was so important to be able to do Transmission Tuning with the EZ lynk and match exactly what was going into the truck. Transmission Tuning is one of the most important parts to the puzzle of making power safe and reliable.
